My name is Peter and I’m thrilled to welcome you to my site! This blog is born out of my passion for mindfulness, gratitude, and wellbeing (aka happiness). My journey began in a small town in western Kenya and as a teenager, I migrated to Massachusetts, USA which was bittersweet.
I’ve spent years studying and practicing mindfulness and gratitude, but my passion truly blossomed during grad school while earning my Master’s in Social Psychology. I discovered that life’s joys, both big and small, often go unnoticed. Did you know that if we’re lucky enough to live to 100, we only get to experience 100 winters, 100 springs, 100 summers, and 100 falls? It’s easy to let these seasons pass by without truly cherishing them, and we use up one more of our precious 100 often without much thought.
Even with my background, I sometimes catch myself taking life’s beautiful moments for granted. That’s why I created this site—to share those moments with you, whether they’re grand or seemingly insignificant. My goal is to write about at least five things each week that bring me gratitude, aiming for 260 grateful moments per year. This simple practice has been shown to boost happiness and life satisfaction. I’m also excited to share other scientifically proven methods to help you cultivate a life full of joy and meaning.
